On the heels of a stellar SXSW run, including the Paste Magazine and Rachael Ray Showcases, Brooklyn-based band Frances Cone are set to continue their rise with the release of their self-titled EP today, April 29th.

Singer/keyboardist Christina Cone's warm yet melancholy voice sweeps over her bandmates' instrumental & harmonic vocal whispers on EP opener "June." Soft arpeggiated synths are the backbone for "Better Man," an emotive pop single of booming percussion & melodic guitar. NYLON has revealed the "June" MP3 and you can download it HERE. Feel free to post and share.

Cone, guitarist Jeff Malinowski and bassist Andrew Doherty met within the past year, however their creative spark is almost tangible on the new EP. Their sound is at once enormous & intimate, huge yet familiar. Written in Charleston, SC, arranged in Brooklyn and recorded in Nashville, Frances Cone's unique mix of indie-pop and Americana harmonies sets the band apart from the rest.
