Madame Tussauds, the world-renowned wax attraction slated to open its newest location in Nashville next Friday, April 14, debuted its brand-new Eric Church wax figure to the Country music superstar backstage at his sold-out Staples Center show. Minutes before taking the stage for a three-hour-long set, an astonished Church came face-to-face with his never-before-seen wax figure, comparing every feature.

"I've seen figures before so I knew it would be realistic but the details are unbelievable, even the veins match," said an amazed Church. "To see yourself like that is crazy-I'm speechless."

To capture his every detail, the three-time Country Music Association and five-time Academy of Country Music Award winner underwent a "sitting" with Madame Tussauds where studio artists took more than 300 measurements and generously donated the figure's leather jacket, t-shirt, jeans and boots. "The Chief's" figure will also be outfitted in a pair of Church's signature Ray Ban Aviators and a Gibson Hummingbird Dark guitar, designed by "Mr. Misunderstood" himself.

The platinum-certified entertainer's figure will be featured in the finale area of Madame Tussauds Nashville which will mimic today's Grand Ole Opry stage alongside Country music greats Jason Aldean, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. Guests will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform onstage in front of a crowd with some of today's biggest country icons backing them up. Their performance will determine whether they leave with thousands of new admiring fans or by being booed off the stage.

With a completely different concept, the attraction in Nashville will be the company's first offering in the U.S. that focuses solely on music icons that have shaped America's musical landscape. Guests are encouraged to have fun with the famous stars from musical genres such as Country, Rock n Roll, Jazz, Blues and Pop.
