Dave Diamond, Mark Newman, and David Berg to PlayPatchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts

The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts' critically acclaimed Live in the Lobby music series is pleased to announce DIAMOND, NEWMAN AND BERG, VSOP. Dave Diamond, Mark Newman and David Berg will perform "alone and together" as part of a Very Special Onetime Performance (VSOP) Live in the Lobby on Thursday, February 12 at 7:30 PM.

Tickets: $10 and include a beverage at the bar; available at the box office the day of the performance or call 631-207-1313 to reserve tickets. Seating is limited; doors open at 7:00 pm. On a sunny July afternoon at the 2014 Great South Bay Music Festival, Live in the Lobby curator Christopher Capobianco had a brainstorm. Dave Diamond was on stage with his band that included Mark Newman on guitar and David Berg was in the audience. The three performers had each been in touch about performing their own sets Live in the Lobby, but the schedules never came together. The idea for a triple bill struck at that moment and "Diamond, Newman and Berg, VSOP" was born. These three great musicians will perform "alone and together" as part of a Very Special Onetime Performance Live in the Lobby.

Dave Diamond's career in music spans more than twenty years. A prolific singer/songwriter and session musician, Dave has recorded and performed as a solo artist and with his own band, Pozzy Ghuru, as well as with an array of other talented and acclaimed musicians. A drummer first, Dave is a creative multi-instrumentalist, equally at home on guitar, bass and keyboards. When stepping out from behind the kit, Dave can be found singing and playing solo shows with his guitar, cajon and loop station. Growing up in New York, Mark Newman's musical journey has taken him around the world several times as both sideman and singer/songwriter. This ace stringsman (guitar, lap steel, mandolin, dobro) and accomplished songwriter is the type of singer whose warm and expressive voice sounds like an old friend. He put it all together on 2006's Must Be A Pony and 2010's Walls Of Jericho, both on Danal Music. LLC. David Berg is a guitarist and singer/songwriter who wears a lot of hats. Equally at home in the wildly divergent realms of jazz, rock, funk, reggae, folk and bluegrass- he can be found most any given night playing and singing for all he's worth. David has just completed his debut CD Sunflower Sky. The album features a solid supporting cast of locally-grown New York musicians and the songs draw from a diverse musical palette incorporating elements of funk, jazz, latin, roots Americana, and jam band styles.
