DAMIEN RICE Confirms Intimate U.S. Performances

Damien Rice has confirmed select stateside tour dates this fall including a stop in Los Angeles and three nights New York City. A limited number of advance tickets will be available to mailing list subscribers via www.damienrice.com. A 48-hour pre-sale window will begin onWednesday, September 17 at 9a.m. local time and general on-sale will begin Friday, September 19 at 9a.m. local time.

Rice's upcoming album, My Favourite Faded Fantasy, is his first collection of material in eight years and was produced by Rick Rubin and Rice. Rice recently teased the record with a video clip featuring an acoustic version of the intro to the album's title track (watch here), which Stereogum praised as "the prettiest and most properly epic-sounding piece of music he's ever released." My Favourite Faded Fantasy follows the seminal O, which sold two million copies worldwide, won the prestigious Shortlist Prize, spent 10 weeks on the Billboard 200, spent 80 weeks on the U.K. chart-as well as the million-selling, Brit-nominated follow-up, 9.
