Charlie Wilson Hosts 'New Year's Eve Countdown' at Detroit's Fox Theatre Tonight

Grammy-nominated R&B icon, Charlie Wilson, will return to Detroit's historic Fox Theatre to celebrate a "New Year's Eve Countdown 2013-2014" with special guests Fantasia and introducing Detroit's own Kiko tonight, December 31 at 9 p.m.

Tickets ($75, $100, $125 and $150) go on sale Saturday, November 2 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, The Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. Wilson will be performing songs from his latest album, Love, Charlie which debuted this past January at the #1 spot on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart and #4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The entry marked Wilson's second #1 entry on the R&B charts (Uncle Charlie) and his fourth Top 10 entry as a solo artist. The first single from Love, Charlie, "My Love Is All I Have," was a top five Urban AC hit after only five weeks.

Grammy Award-winner and American Idol Season 3 champion, Fantasia will bring her unique brand of "rock soul" to life during the New Year's Eve celebration; performing songS from her latest album, Side Effects Of You, and some of her chart-topping hits, including "Truth Is," "When I See You," "Free Yourself" and "Bittersweet."
