"Being able to perform and network with other up and coming musicians during the biggest music festival of the year is a blessing"; Charlie Dane said "Last time we were at the event, we met so many amazing people, and I can't wait to see what this year's showcase has in store for us".

What is the SXSW Conference? By day, conference registrants do business in the SXSW Trade Show at the Austin Convention Center and partake in a full agenda of informative, provocative panel discussions featuring hundreds of speakers of international stature. At night, the SXSW Music and Media Conference showcases hundreds of musical acts from around the globe on over one hundred stages in downtown Austin, TX during the middle of March each year. The music event has grown from 700 registrants in 1987 to over 16,000 registrants today.

The career of Charlie Dane is seeing strong upward movement over the past several years; recently she was chosen as one of the seven youth artist Finalists aged 13 to 20 from across the country who contributed original songs to the non-profit PAVE the Way Project which raises awareness of dating violence alongside their peers. The winning artist performed in a recording of a new song written by GRAMMY Award winner Salvador Santana, collaborating alongside his father, 10-time GRAMMY Award winner, Carlos Santana.
