Bucky Covington, the charming contestant-turned-country super-star from Season 5 of American Idol, is set to return to the Idol stage for the finale airing Live on Thursday April 7th at 8pm ET.

He will be joining several other familiar Nashville faces on stage, including Lauren Alaina, Kellie Pickler, Bo Bice, Scotty McCreery, Ace Young, Casey James, Diana DeGarmo and many more.

After becoming a household name as a finalist during Season 5 of American Idol, Bucky churned out a string of top 10 hits, a No.1 Album, and successful tours around the globe. Bucky recently released his first EP as an Independent artist appropriately titled HAPPY MAN.

Bucky Covington is a man known as much for his engaging personality as his formidable talent. Both come together on stage, where the North Carolina native with a rocker's charisma and country boy charm thrills old and new fans alike as he criss-crosses the country. With his first album, Bucky earned a place at the forefront of a new generation of country singers scoring three consecutive Top 10 hits including "A Different World" peaking at #4, and a total of six charted singles. He became the best selling debut artist of that year, with the best first-week sales and highest Top 200 debut of any male country artist in 15 years. Bucky recently released his first independent project in the form of a 6 song EP titled Happy Man which has produced 2 singles charting on Music Row charts so far. Covington co-produced the project alongside his long time producer, Grammy nominated Dale Oliver.
