Known for his seamless mergence of film and music, Boy Epic, the Dallas-based noir-pop sensation, returns with a new single and video for "Up Down" today. Inspired by the likes of Christopher Nolan and Depeche Mode, the track fuses haunting atmospherics, dynamic beats, and his delicate yet powerful vocals. He comments, "Up Down is a song about the trials and tribulations of time. Something we are all fighting and ultimately fear."

Animated by Boy Epic himself, the video was crafted frame-by-frame to give it an old-school, stop motion animation feel. "The video tells a story of a young boy stuck in time trying to be with the love of his life, while the lyrics play the narrative, the devil is in the details," he comments.

"Up Down" follows the release of "Trust" and the sultry "Kanye's In My Head" earlier this year which earned praise from the likes of Alternative Press, Earmilk, High Voltage Magazine, and many more. After his breakthrough hit "Fifty Shades" in 2014, Boy Epic developed a cult following, amassing over 42 million views on his YouTube channel worldwide. Working in collaboration with producer Cut Down Trees, his repertoire also features originals like the Suicide Squad-inspired "Scars" and massively popular "Dirty Mind."

For a taste of his kinetic live energy, Boy Epic is hosting a private industry showcase in Los Angeles on August 22nd at The Virgil. For more information or to RSVP, click here.
