Southern California native, Jimmy Long, has launched a crowdfunding campaign on the website Indiegogo.com in order to take pre-orders and help fund the production of his first studio album as Black Eye Affair.

A primarily acoustic, singer-songwriter, Long mixes folk with country, rock and alternative styles to create a catchy sound with clever lyrics. With a deadline set of June 20th to complete the funding campaign, interested parties are asked to visit the campaign site at www.igg.me/at/blackeyeaffair.

Long has been performing as Black Eye affair since 2001, but this is the first time that he has undertaken a real recording project. As an independent musician, he hopes this campaign will defray the costs of production that might otherwise be assumed by a record label. The funding goal of $4000 will allow him to record, publish, and promote his music. Via the campaigns perks features, contributors can select to pre-order the album and other materials. There is even a slightly more tongue-in-cheek option to be declared "The Patron Saint of Black Eye Affair" for a much loftier donation.

Long can be seen performing live as Black Eye Affair from 1-5pm on Sunday, June 7th at the historic Rock Inn in Lake Hughes, CA. He will be performing songs from the forthcoming album as well as a wide mix of covers.
