A MADCatfish has wiggled off his hook to leave his birthplace deep in the Mississippi Delta and is heading west to kick-off the Inaugural 1st Annual Southern California MADCatfish Blues Festival, a two-day fun-filled, power packed, foot-stomping, all-star musical extravaganza to be held at Santa Anita Park, 285 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA 91007 on Labor Day Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, September 5 and 6, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Presented by MADCatfish Entertainment, LLC and Executive Producer, La Quetta M. Shamblee, the 1st Annual Southern California MADCatfish Blues Festival will feature a two-day line-up of Blues music luminaries. La Quetta M. Shamblee said, "I am very excited to be starting a new tradition here in the Southland with the establishment of a regional music festival focused on showcasing the Blues. This year's festival represents the launch of a new three-year plan to establish the MADCatfish Blues Festival as the premiere annual Labor Day weekend destination Blues celebration in Southern California. The Festival will also include a Tribute to the late Blues great, B.B. King. Legendary Blues and Jazz radio personality La Brea resident James Janisse of www.KJMJRadio.com, affectionately known as "The Gentleman of Jazz," will serve as Master of Ceremonies introducing the hottest two-day line-up of Blues recording artists and bands in Southern California. Musical performers at the MADCatfish Blues Festival will include: Barbara Morrison, Grammy Award Nominated Blues Entertainer (of Los Angeles) accompanied by the Bu Crew; Ray Bailey, Guitarist/Vocalist (of South Los Angeles) with Singer Kenyatta Mackey (aka BabyDoll) (of Gardena); Jay Jackson, Jazz and Blues Singer and Popular Television Star (of Ventura County); the Sunnie Paxson-Mark Vincent All Star Band with Sunnie Paxson, Pianist (of Valley Village), Mark Vincent, Guitarist (of Toluca Lake), Sekou Bunch, Bass (of Studio City), Rayford Griffin, Drums (of Sherman Oaks) and Cynthia Calhoun, Vocalist (of Sherman Oaks); Leslie Baker, Electric Bass Guitarist (of Silver Lake) with Singer and Song Stylist, Marguaret Love (of Inglewood); The Delgado Brothers, Latin Blues Band with Steve Delgado (of Mt. Washington) on Drums/Vocals, Bob Delgado (of Monterey Park) on Bass, David B. Kelley (of Redondo Beach) on Keyboards and Joey Delgado (of Monrovia) on Guitar/Vocals; The Scorch Sisters, Blues Band with Francesca Capasso, Lead/Background Vocals/Percussion (of Granada Hills), Alicia Morgan, Lead/Background Vocals/Keyboards (of Sherman Oaks) and Kimberly "KC" Allison, Guitar (of Monrovia); Yu Ooka, Guitarist (of Torrance) and Corney Mims & The know-IT-ALLz Band (of Long Beach). The Blues Festival will also introduce Richard Cameron Lovely, an up and coming 11-year-old Pianist (of Carson).

As part of the MADCatfish Blues Festival activities, actor Ernest L. Thomas ("Everybody Hates Chris," "The Jeffersons," "What's Happening!!," "Roots," "What's Happening Now!!," "Malcolm X," "Funny People") will host a late night Juke Joint, an evening of Comedy and Blues, to be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 in the Santa Anita Park Concourse Room from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. Cynthia Busby, of Busby Promotions, will produce the late night Juke Joint event.

The Juke Joint event will feature popular comics King Kedar (of Glendale; "Funny People," "Preacher's Kid," "Marmaduke"); Keith Morris (of Long Beach; "American Hardcore," "Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood," "Sid and Nancy"), Edwonda White (of Inglewood; Def Comedy Jam, The Apollo Comedy Hour, B.E.T. Comedy Awards, Comedy Central Clips, The Bad Girl's of Comedy, The Best of Comic View, Recipient of The Mom's Mabley Award of Comedic Excellence), plus A Surprise Guest! Singer and Song Stylist, Marguaret Love (of Inglewood) with also appear at the Juke Joint with her Band. The Juke Joint will feature a gumbo mix of entertainment, including: table games like playing cards and dominoes, an Open Mic, comic and musical performances, dancing, and a special MADCatfish Blues Festival Step and Repeat Banner and Red Carpet Area for selfies and photo ops. Food and Drinks will also be available for purchase.

The MADCatfish Blues Festival will be held at Santa Anita Park, 285 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA 91007, which is the Race Track where two champion thoroughbreds, Seabiscuit and John Henry, made history. Santa Anita Park is located along the historic Route 6, adjacent to the 210 Foothill Freeway and Westfield Santa Anita Shopping Mall.

Tickets for One Day Admission Passes to the Blues Festival from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday, September 5 or 6, 2015 are $40 each for a General Admission Ticket; $65 each for a Premium Ticket which includes access to the Preferred Parking section; and $150 each for a VIP Private Terrace Ticket which includes VIP seating, Valet Parking, a gourmet lunch and non-alcoholic beverage and admission to the Juke Joint event. Tickets for Two Day Admission Passes to the Blues Festival from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, September 5 and 6, 2015 are $75 each for General Admission; $115 each for a Premium Ticket which includes access to the Preferred Parking section; and $250 each for a VIP Private Terrace Ticket which includes VIP seating, Valet Parking, a gourmet lunch and non-alcoholic beverage and admission to the Juke Joint event. Tickets for the Juke Joint event on Saturday evening, September 5, 2015 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. are $15 each for General Admission, and $25 each for the Juke Joint, which also includes a Red Carpet Reception. Tickets for the Juke Joint event are separate from the Blues Festival held during the day.
