Award-winning Colombian musician Andrés Salguero brings an impeccable authenticity to his debut kids'/family CD, ¡Uno, Dos, Tres con Andrés!. The album will be released in April, to honor El Día de los Niños.

An ebullient celebration of Latin culture, ¡Uno, Dos, Tres con Andrés! brings to families around the world a bona fide anthology of salsa, bachata, plena, mariachi, vallenato, bolero, champeta, and more, with vocals in both Spanish and English.

These original songs by Andrés Salguero represent a joyous treasure trove of Latin rhythms and instrumental colors featuring the talents of such world-class artists as renowned percussionist Hector "Coco" Barez, living legend of Latin jazz Al Williams III, and award-winning jazz trombonist Kevin Cerovich. Michael Lazarus, whose track record includes the 2013 and 2014 GRAMMY winners for Best Tropical Latin Album, took over the mastering of ¡Uno, Dos, Tres con Andrés! Illustrations by award-winning Colombian artist Carlos Diaz Consuegra grace the CD's beautiful Spanish/English lyrics booklet and cover.

Andrés Salguero reflects, "As a musician who has played many types of Latin music, I didn't want to make songs that may perhaps sound a little Latino but are, in reality, only a pastiche of 'Latin' sounds. I wanted to make songs that, on their own, are each great exemplars of the genre. I want grown-ups who are familiar with this music to say, 'This is the real stuff.'"

Now residing in the Washington, DC area, Andrés Salguero called upon his immigrant experience in the making of ¡Uno, Dos, Tres con Andrés!, creating songs of friendship and happiness that celebrate cross-cultural sharing. The music of Andrés vibrates with the pure beauty of languages and encourages kids not to be shy or afraid of cultural differences, as exemplified by the opening line of the album: "It doesn't matter where you are from, if you speak English or Español. It doesn't matter, there's nothing wrong. We can all get along."

Andrés Salguero performs his live ¡Uno, Dos, Tres con Andrés! kids' show more than 200 times each year at such venues as the Discovery Theater of the Smithsonian Institution, the National Theatre in DC, Kansas City's Jiggle Jam Festival, and at school and libraries throughout the country.

¡Uno, Dos, Tres con Andrés! will be available online at www.123andres.com, cdbaby.com, and iTunes. Watch for an all-Spanish version of the album, coming soon!
