The Jewish Museum launches its fall 2015 family concert series with a performance by San Francisco-based kindie rocker Alison Faith Levy on Sunday, October 11 at 11:30am. Levy - formerly "Sippy Alison" of the beloved kids' psychedelic band The Sippy Cups - and her Big|Brave | Big|Brave Time Tot Rock Band make their New York debut at the Museum, and will perform whimsical '60s-style tunes from her albums, The Start of Things and World of Wonder, in a high energy, interactive show for the entire family.

Says Alison Faith Levy, "I haven't performed children's music in New York since my days as a Sippy Cup, when we played to sold out houses every time we came to town. I'm excited to reconnect with New Yok Sippy Cups fans and make new friends. I'm also proud and honored to have been invited to perform at The Jewish Museum, which feels like coming home because I teach music in a Jewish preschool and perform regularly at many Jewish venues in the Bay Area. I can't wait!"

Tickets are $18 per adult; $13 per child; $15 adult Jewish Museum family level member; and $11 child Jewish Museum family level member. This lively concert is for children age 3 and up. Concert tickets can be purchased online at TheJewishMuseum.org/familyconcerts. For further information regarding family programs, the public may call 212.423.3337. The Jewish Museum is located at Fifth Avenue and 92nd Street, Manhattan. Adults are asked to accompany their children.

After spending five years as member of The Sippy Cups, performing in such venues as Symphony Space, Lollapalooza, Central Park Summerstage, and Austin City Limits, Alison Faith Levy took a break from performing for children and found success with her "grown-up" Americana band, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, with songwriting partner Victor Krummenacher (of Camper Van Beethoven), before returning to performing for children. She is currently adapting World of Wonder into a full-length stage musical for families.

The Edgar M. Bronfman Center for Education's school and family programs are supported by endowed funds established by the Bronfman Family, the Muriel and William Rand Fund, the William Randolph Hearst Foundation, the Helena Rubinstein Foundation, Rosalie Klein Adolf, the Kekst Family, and Mrs. Ida C. Schwartz in memory of Mr. Bernard S. Schwartz. Family programming is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council and Councilmember Daniel R. Garodnick
