The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall's FREE, family-friendly outdoor summertime music series is back for its 10th year, and dancing is on the agenda!

This summer, kick back on the Sarasota bayfront and listen to spectacular bands play a range of musical styles that will please the ears of the entire family. FridayFest opens on June 27th with Sarasota's favorite for feel good, 60's era Yesterdayze. Not only does Yesterdayze bring a psychedelic classic sound - they dress the part, recreating the full experience! The band will sample tunes from The Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix, Elvis, Dionne Warwick, and take you back to the Age of Aquarius!

July 25th will welcome Southern Gypsy Funk band, Come Back Alice. Come prepared for Soulful Vocals, melodic guitars, baroque style violin and funky bass and drums that will rock your world. With members from all over the country, this band is sure to bring the funk!

Arms in, head back, and hold on for SoulRcoaster on August 22nd! From Etta to Gaga, classic rock to Motown, jazz, ballads, disco and even a little country, SoulRcoaster is sure to take the Van Wezel for a ride.

September 26th welcomes back Adrian Ray, the cowboy cutie with his blue collar, in-your-face, country music band. Adrian has promised to bring back his signature "Heavy Country" sound that perfectly mixes today's Country Music with Classic Rock.

Bring your blankets or lawn chairs, take in the music and the sunset, and enjoy food and beverage from local vendors. Emceed by the energetic Ryan Collins and Dan Kriwitsky, it's sure to be a blast. FridayFest takes place in "rain or shine". In the event of inclement weather, the festival will move indoors to the Grand Foyer of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Bringing in food and drink from outside the Fest is prohibited; coolers and weapons of any kind are also prohibited.
