"La Alfombra Roja de los Premios Billboard" was hosted by Monica Noguera and Rashel Diaz, along with Azucena Cierco, Jorge Bernal and Jessie Camacho, from key positions on the carpet.

Extending the awards excitement, on Saturday, May 1, at 7PM/ 6c, Telemundo will treat viewers to a special titled "Billboard Extra," which will feature the most memorable highlights of the evening, as well as behind-the-scenes footage.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards honor the most popular albums, songs, and performers in Latin music, as determined by sales and radio airplay data that informs Billboard's weekly charts during a one-year period from the issue dated February 7, 2009 through this year's January 30, 2010 issue. Winners reflect performance of new recordings on Billboard's sales charts, including Top Latin Albums, and radio charts, including Hot Latin Songs, with album categories confined to titles that did not appear before Nov. 8, 2008 issue but excluding finalists from the prior-year's Billboard Latin Music Awards. Based on sales data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and radio information monitored by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems, Billboard's charts are the world's most authoritative music rankings.

The awards show capped off the 21st annual Billboard Latin Music Conference presented by State Farm in association with T-Mobile. The conference, which was held on April 26-29 at the Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza in Puerto Rico, brought together today's top Latin music artists and key industry executives for informative panel discussions, live music showcases, networking receptions and The Billboard Bash – a pre-Billboard Latin Music Awards celebration which featured performances by some of this year's finalists.  This year's conference also included a superstar Q&A with Aventura, an "in-depth" session with Marc Anthony, and much more.  For details on the Billboard Latin Music Conference, visit: www.billboardlatinconference.com.
