VIDEO: HUNGER GAMES Director & Producers Talks Loss of Philip Seymour Hoffman

At this week's red carpet world premiere, the producers and director of the highly anticipated film THE HUNGER GAMES - MOCKINGJAY PART I, spoke exclusively to Digital Spy about the impact that the loss of Philip Seymour Hoffman had on the crew and cast of the film.

Said Director Francis Lawrence called Hoffman's death "unspeakably awful and so unimaginably surprising and devastating". Check out the video!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson's Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
