On CBS's THE VIEW, Elizabeth Banks discussed her new film "Love and Mercy," the story the legendary Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys. Banks who plays Wilson's second wife Melinda says, "You see me meeting John Cusack who plays an older Brian Wilson in the 80's and meeting Melinda I think saved his life. She's pretty fierce."

Wilson's daughter and guest co-host Carnie Wilson adds, "This was very heavy for me to watch. I was there during the darkest part of his life so that was hard for me, but so much reconciliation, so much love has come since then. You did a beautiful job. The acting was brilliant...My mom is my hero and many people have helped my father and I had to get that in there...and I give credit to Melinda."
