In celebration of this weekend's exciting news that David Lynch and Showtime have reached an agreement for the director to helm all the episodes of Twin Peaks' long awaited third season, Northwest Passage director Adam Baran and executive producers Jonathan Caouette, P. David Ebersole and Todd Hughes of have released an exciting new reward on their Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign that's sure to be a must-have for any die-hard TwinPeaks fan.

Now, until the end of THE CAMPAIGN on June 2nd, people who pledge at the $200 dollar level and above can receive a personalized outgoing voicemail message recorded by none other than original Twin Peaks cast member Kimmy Robertson, who played squeaky-voiced Sheriff's Department Secretary LUCY Moran on both seasons of the series, and who will be returning for season three. One of the most beloved Twin peaks cast members, Robertson generously donated this reward in support of Northwest Passage, a unique doc that explores the incredible life story of a gay teen named Travis Blue , who grew up in the town where the show was filmed way back in 1988, and who Robertson got to know over the years at the annual Twin Peaks Fan Festivals.

Northwest Passage explores how Travis endured physical and sexual abuse at the hands of peers and people he trusted, and how he turned to the characters on Twin Peaks - most notably the tormented Laura Palmer - as role models for his own behavior. His obsession with the victimized HEROINE helped him come to terms with his own abuse and trauma, but not before harrowing experiences with drug addiction, life on the streets, and underage sex work, which he was forced to pursue to survive - and which, in a strange twist of fate, took place in the same bar Laura Palmer turns tricks in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.

Northwest Passage's campaign has currently raised over $15,000 dollars of it's $60,000 dollar goal. Other exciting rewards sure to appeal to any Twin Peaks fan include original photos of Twin Peaks cast members Piper Laurie, Sherilyn Fenn and James Marshall, hand-signed by the actors and Twin Peaks unit publicist and stills photographer Paula K. Shimatsu-U., who took the photos; Twin Peaks tote bags, prints, and t-shirts featuring drawings of the Log Lady, Dale Cooper, Nadine Hurley , and Leo Johnson by artist Andrea Owen; a reproduction poster of Travis' original ticket to Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me's US premiere at the first Twin Peaks Fan Festival; plus Twin Peaks mix-tapes, a photo scrapbook featuring Travis' documentation of hidden Twin Peaks locations, and a personalized tour of Twin Peaks shooting locations in both Los Angeles, where much of the series was shot, and Washington State, where the pilot episode and feature film were shot.

Over the weekend, along with the news about Lynch, VICE published an interview with Baran and Blue, in which both outline the importance of the project. Director Andrew Haigh (Looking, Weekend) also backed the campaign, tweeting to his followers, "Support Adam Baran and help him get this film Northwest Passage made. It's a crazy good story and he's a talented man."

New York Twin Peaks fans can party with Baran this Friday, May 22nd at Nowhere Bar, where he will be throwing a Twin Peaks Drag Night fundraiser for Northwest Passage, hosted by Brooklyn's own Severely Mame, and featuring music by Hot For Crime, who supplied one of the Twin Peaks mix-tapes for the Kickstarter rewards. The party starts at 9:30 and goes all night long...
