The inaugural North Hollywood International Film Festival (NHIFF) will take place in the Spring of 2016 in the NoHo Arts District of Los Angeles. Based on the concept of nurturing emerging filmmakers, the four-day festival will be a highly visual entertainment experience and a cultural resource for the community of North Hollywood and the greater Los Angeles area.
NHIFF is designed to be a launch platform for North American and International premieres of important new films. An expertly programmed showcase and educational opportunities for young people makes this an industry event for veterans and new talent alike. The North Hollywood International Film Festival is a 501c(3) nonprofit arts organization founded by Nicholas Goodman and Hortencia Goodman and is a film festival by filmmakers for filmmakers. "I have traveled the world attending dozens of film festivals and have seen what works and what doesn't," said Nicholas Goodman, a producer for the Golden Globe Awards, award-winning filmmaker and co-founder of NHIFF. "The North Hollywood International Film Festival is going to be very filmmaker-friendly and is the perfect place to premiere new work in the movie making capital of the world." Prior to the 2016 festival, NHIFF will host a free summer movie series featuring popular films for the community to enjoy in public spaces throughout North Hollywood this summer.
