The Bourne... Return?

Ben Affleck revealed in an interview with E! that Matt Damon, star of the BOURNE films will again be reprising his role as Jason Bourne in a 2016 BOURNE installment directed by Paul Greengrass. There was some question as to whether Damon would star in this next film, considering Jeremy Renner played the chracter in THE BOURNE LEGACY in 2012. Renner was originally set to star in a 2016 sequel directed by Justin Lin. Cancellation of the Renner/Lin collaboration has yet to be confirmed.

In September, it was clear that Damon and Greengrass, director of THE BOURNE SUPREMACY and THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM were in negotiations to make a BOURNE sequel.

"It'll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out," said Affleck. "Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that's all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes."
