Disney Signs Off on ENCHANTED Sequel

Seven years ago, Disney released Enchanted, which was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globes award. Today, according to Deadline, Disney has signed off on a sequel to the popular princess adventure. J. David Stem and David N. Weiss have been hired to write the movie, which will be their first joint project since Are We There Yet? and Daddy Day Camp.

Anne Fletcher's name has also been tied to the project. There is no word yet as to which of the original cast members will make an appearance.

Enchanted is a live-action musical which follows Giselle from her fairy tale world to New York City. Along her jouney to find her way back home, she meets some new friends, breaks out into song, and discovers a few things about herself. Amy Adams stars as Giselle. The cast also includes Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Timothy Spall, Idina Menzel, Rachel Covey, and Susan Sarandon.
