Director Ridley Scott Turns Down Warner Bros' JUSTICE LEAGUE

Ohnotheydidn't.com reports that director Ridley Scott has turned down the opportunity to helm Warner Bros upcoming super hero film JUSTICE LEAGUE. As a result, production on the picture may be pushed back as late as 2016.

Several names have been rumored to be interested in directing the project including Christopher Nolan, David Yates, Ben Affleck and Zack Snyder; however all have evidently passed on the chance.

According to the source, the studio is set to 'pitch their version of the movie' and may make an announcement about it within the next three months.

JUSTICE LEAGUE will feature a team of DC Comics superheroes including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Aquaman. The studio hopes to match the success of this year's blockbuster hit 'The Avengers', also based on comic book heroes. Will Beall is writing the script.
