Indian Country reports that Native American actress Misty Upham, who last appeared on the big screen in AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, has gone missing. She was last seen leaving her sister's apartment in Muckleshoot, Washington, on October 5. Her father, Charles Upham, has filed a police report.

Now, Charles Upham tells The Hollywood Reporter that Misty "had recently changed her medication, so she was sort of having erratic behavior. She told me and her mom that we didn't have to worry about her any more. ... I thought it sounded suicidal myself, so I called the police. She's always been a suicidal person."

Charles continued: "I think that she is either in a place where she can't get help -- maybe she fell down and broke her leg and something, or she got in with the wrong crowd. I don't think she would have taken her own life. I don't want to think she is dead."

Misty Upham played 'Johnna Monevata' in last year's film adaptation of Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-winning play AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY. Among the actress' other film credits are FROZEN RIVER, DJANGO UNCHAINED and JIMMY P.

Any information or anyone who has been in contact with Misty since October 5, 2014, is asked to contact the Auburn police department (253) 288-2121, case no. 14-13189.
