As we prepare to celebrate love and loved ones on Valentine's Day, OpenTable, the world's leading provider of online restaurant reservations and part of The Priceline Group (PCLN), is pleased to release its rankings of the 25 Most Romantic Cities in America.

It's no secret that America has become a country of foodies, but our analysis revealed that we're also a nation of hungry romantics. In order to provide a ranking of cities where romantic dining is inherently part of the culture, the OpenTable Most Romantic Cities Index was calculated using three variables: the percentage of restaurants rated "romantic" according to OpenTable diner reviews; the percentage of tables seated for two; and the percentage of people who dined out for Valentine's Day last year.

"The illustrious and insightful M.F.K. Fisher noted that sharing a meal is in and of itself an intimate act," said Caroline Potter, Chief Dining Officer of OpenTable. "This list makes it clear that romance is alive and well in cities in all corners of the country, from the glamorous gambling meccas of Atlantic City and Las Vegas to urban areas with a decidedly down-home feel, such as Charleston and San Antonio and that Fisher's sentiments remain true to this day."

The following cities, listed in order, comprise the Top 25 Most Romantic Cities in America. The complete list may also be viewed at http://www.opentable.com/m/most-romantic-cities-in-america.
