Omaha Steaks Introduces Steak-Cut Bacon

Omaha Steaks announced today the launch of three "Steak-Cut" Bacon options to its already popular line of bacon offerings, which includes precooked bacon, bacon-wrapped filet mignons, pepper-bacon wrapped filets, bacon-wrapped pork chops and jumbo bacon-wrapped scallops. The new Steak-Cut Bacon comes in three different flavors:

• Applewood Smoked Steak-Cut Bacon
• Peppered Country Steak-Cut Bacon
• Cajun Steak-Cut Bacon

Steak-Cut bacon is the thickest bacon available; each pack comes with 8 eight slices of premium pork that are 2 ounces per slice. The expansion of the Omaha Steaks bacon line comes in response to customer requests for additional bacon options for breakfasts, BLTs, burgers and more.

According to BaconToday.com, the average American eats 17.9 lbs of bacon per year making it on to their plate at breakfast (70 percent), dinner (17 percent) lunch (11 percent) and as a snack (2 percent).
