Repertory Dance Theatre is doing something a little different this year for the annual November show. The Company will be presenting world-renowned choreographer, performing artist, and award-winning film-maker, Mitchell Rose in THE MITCH SHOW, November 21-22 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center. To kick off the holiday season, RDT will presenting this show as a gift to the community for a discounted price of only $10 per ticket.

The Mitch Show is the convergence of the two lives of Mitchell Rose-a former choreographer/ performance artist, now a filmmaker whose offbeat films have won 57 festival awards. His works are screened around the world both on television and in locations as diverse as the Getty Museum and the CBS JumboVision in Times Square.

"Mitchell is one of the most inventive, insightful and witty artists around," said RDT's Executive / Artistic Director, Linda C. Smith."We worked with him in the 1980s when we acquired his works, 'Apples Are Cheap Cows Are Stupid,' 'Cocktails for Two' and '13 Beginnings.'" She goes on to say, "We are thrilled to bring him back to Salt Lake and offer you an entertaining and hilarious pre-holiday concert...The Mitch Show."

The Mitch Show is a film/performance mashup, an evening that brings together his comic films and audience-participation performance pieces. It appeals to those who love film, theater, dance, and comedy.

The same weekend, RDT will perform a family-friendly show for children titled, SURPRISE PACKAGES. The show will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 22. More information available at www.rdtutah.org.

After the show, join RDT and Mitch in the lobby for cookies and milk from Trader Joe's.
