Valerie Norman Gammon, Director of Cultural Affairs for the City of Miramar, today announced that the Miramar Cultural Center/ArtsPark will launch the 2015-2016 theatre season next month with two popular and diverse shows.

Saturday, October 10 at 2 pm

BELLA & HARRY Let's Visit London (Kids Culture Series)

Come along as Bella and Harry embark on an educational and fun-filled journey to London. Based on the educational series, The Adventures of Bella & Harry, these two jet-set pets help foster education and appreciation of the world in which we live. Children will now get the chance to see their favorite globetrotting Chihuahua duo come to life in an informative, interactive musical as they explore the sights and sounds of London. Bella and Harry Let's Visit London introduces children to travel, customs, history and landmarks with songs like Big Ben Boogie, Tea Time for Two and Stonehenge Rocks!

Pre- show activities begin at 1 pm, including show-related art activities for children, face painting, a reading by the author and an appearance by Buddy the Bookworm, the official mascot of the Miramar Cultural Center/ArtsPark.

Saturday, October 17 at 2 pm & 8 pm

BALLET HISPANICO (Signature Series)

Through the fresh, relevant works of the Ballet Hispanic repertory, Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro showcases the Latino voice in dance with choreography from contemporary masters and emerging stars. Ballet Hispanico explores, preserves, and celebrates Latino cultures through dance, celebrating the dynamic aesthetics of the Hispanic diaspora, building new avenues of cultural dialogue and sharing the joy of dance with all communities. The company's work explores the diversity of Latino culture through a fusion of classical, Latin, and contemporary dance powered by theatricality, athleticism, and passion.

About the Miramar Cultural Center/ArtsPark:

The Miramar Cultural Center/ArtsPark was created to celebrate creativity and diversity within the city. This landmark is a vibrant, urban destination located in the heart of the Miramar Town Center, situated adjacent to City Hall.
