Inlet Dance Theater to Return to Cain Park in SWEET 16TH

Inlet Dance Theater returns to Cain Park's Evans amphitheater for two FREE performances on July 27 at 1pm (Kids Matinee) and July 28 at 8pm.

The Dance Company's aesthetic has been described as "narrative-driven choreography...filled with striking and compassionate imagery." Inlet utilizes the art form of dance to bring about personal development in the lives of individuals through training and mentoring, and to speak creatively about life and the issues we all face. The Kids Matinee and evening performances also include students from their Summer Dance Intensive 2016.

A Free Parking Shuttle Service is available only on the Thursday July 28 evening performance, in partnership withMotorcars Honda/Toyota/Scion. The shuttle runs 7-8pm (it does not run during the concert) and up to one hour after the concert ends. Those interested should park at the Motorcars dealership (2953 Mayfield Road).

Inlet Dance Theatre returns for its "Sweet 16th" FREE concert at Cain Park Evans Amphitheater featuring the students of the company's Summer Dance Intensive 2016 and the Inlet Trainee & Apprentice Program. Select company members will premiere new works on the students and the company will perform selections from its active repertory in this community favorite annual event.

In the evening performance, you will see examples of Inlet's work with the SDI 16' students in new works choreographed by Company Members Joshua Brown, Erin Pennebaker and Elizabeth Pollert. Also of note, are the two new works created this past season by Company Member Dominic Moore-Dunson titled, Even There, You Lead Me and Brandenburg's Digress, that feature Inlet's Trainee & Apprentice program. Highlighted works from the professional Inlet company repertory include the sections Fire and Air from Four Elements.

Inlet Dance Theatre's impact has grown locally to internationally. Inlet's diverse base of work includes concerts such as part of Cleveland Public Theatre's DanceWorks series and international exchanges to Easter Island (a commonwealth of Chile). Inlet's education programming includes teaching dance in our home studio, attracting students from as far away as Central America to their Summer Dance Intensive, and conducting residencies throughout Ohio as part of the Ohio Arts Council's Artist in Residence Program.
