Hofesh Shechter Company Coming to The Banff Centre, 10/24

The stage will be set ablaze with furious dance, explosive music and virtuosic performances as the Hofesh Shechter Company returns to Alberta from the United Kingdom to perform at The Banff Centre on October 24, 2015.

"When Hofesh Shechter last performed in Calgary, you could feel the electric energy in the air crackle, as people clamoured to take in this heart stopping , visceral performance," said Nicole Mion, Springboard Performance's Artistic Director. "Part tribal meditation, mixed with exact o-knife precision performances, the Hofesh Shechter Company has been setting setting stages ablaze with his world renowned, singular style. The Fluid Festival will be the Canadian premiere for Shechter's latest offering, barbarians. The company's power and precision, makes for a not-to-be missed evening of outrageously good dance."

After making a huge splash at Fluid Festival in Calgary back in 2009, Hofesh Shechter Company are back with their show BARBARIANS, which showcases unpredictable and wild performances that will present three wildly different takes on intimacy, passion and the banality of love.

"I am delighted to partner with Springboard Performance's Fluid Festival to bring his company to The Banff Centre for the North American premiere of barbarians."
