Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre will host its 30th anniversary Gala, Fresh & Fancy, at Central Wholesale Market in Downtown Los Angeles. Emceed by Associate Artistic Director of Center Theatre Group (and appointee to President Obama's National Council on the Arts) Diane Rodriguez, the Gala will include live musical performances by Grammy Award-winners Quetzal.

Duckler will honor three prolific community leaders for their civic, artistic and social contributions to the area. Honorees include former LA City Councilwoman Jan Perry, current General Manager of LA's Economic Workforce Development Department; Robert Walker, President of Walker Foods, which is celebrating its 101st year as a family-owned business; and Robert Egan, Artistic Director & Producer of Ojai Playwrights Conference and Founder and President of RHEgan Productions.

"We're excited that this year's honorees each take their own unique approaches to innovating a beautiful future for the City of Los Angeles," Duckler said.

The Gala will also feature original dance performances-including the epilogue to Duckler's dance telenovela, Sophie & Charlie (with projections by Refik Anadol), as well as handcrafted local cuisine, open bar with aguas frescas, and a raffle.
