The Alden in McLean's resident contemporary dance company, Christopher K. Morgan & Artists, returns for its fourth annual season with an evening of mixed repertory that includes two world premieres. "Inconstancy" will be performed at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14 and 15. Tickets are $30, $20 for McLean tax district residents. The Alden is located inside the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave.

Artistic Director Morgan will premiere "Inconstancy," a duet that asks if one can ever really be satisfied with what one has. Assistant Director Tiffanie Carson will make her choreographic debut with her world premiere work "Deprivation," an investigation of stimulus and the lack thereof. Also on the program are two works praised by The Washington Post as "a fast-paced, kinetic charge that has emotional content, too."

A trio for the women of CKM&A, "In the Cold Room," explores reactions to light, dark and temperature, creating an abstract examination of isolation and connection. "Bruised" is a duet that explores the nature of impact in a world where one can so easily walk past, or even into, another person without ever seeing that person. Both "In the Cold Room" and "Bruised" feature original music played live by electric cellist/composer Wytold. "Inconstancy" will be an evening of dance not to be missed. "Among the best, if not the best, of the Washington area's choreographers." Carmel Morgan, Critical Dance
