The famed Trinity Academy of Irish Dance-Gold-medal winner of this year's World Irish Dance Championships, an international competition most recently held in London-kicks off preliminary St. Patrick's Day festivities with a free family-friendly celebration and Open House, Saturday, March 7 at select Trinity Chicagoland studios, as well as three brand new locations. (See a complete list at the end of this release.)

As part of the Open House festivities, Trinity will teach its inaugural "TriniJig," an easy-to- learn, high-spirited Irish jig developed by the legendary Trinity teachers. Members from the World Championship team and instructors will provide free tutorials to all in attendance and jumpstart a nationwide contest to find the "TriniJig" Champion, who will win a chance to make a public appearance with the Trinity dancers this performance season.

The fun-filled day of activities will also feature face-painting, food and drinks and exclusive prize giveaways including a grand-prize first-timers eight-week introductory training course. Several kids ages 3-10 years old will also have a chance to win a free summer camp session during "Taste of Trinity," the Academy's award-winning summer dance program for first-time Irish dancers.

"We're coming off a tremendous year, having just won our 17th World Championship after an incredible journey with this team. Our mission to teach them resilience was accomplished long before they arrived in London. Even in the most challenging moments they tightened their circle and continued to elevate each other until the final note," said Trinity founder Mark Howard. "Our upcoming Open House is a fantastic opportunity to share the power and grace of these dancers with the community. Stop by to meet the reigning world champs, learn the 'TriniJig' and have some fun leading up to St. Paddy's Day."

The World Championship competition in London featured 5,000 Irish dancers from five continents. Trinity has now won an unprecedented 17 world titles for the United States, more than all other North American Irish dance schools. The Trinity Academy of Irish Dance defends its title during the upcoming World Championship, happening March 29- April 5, 2015 in Montreal, Canada.
