Roxey Ballet announces that company dancer Chanmee Jeong will be performing as Cinderella alongside Seyong Kim as the Prince this spring. This magical retelling of the beloved classic fairy tale will take place from May 6-7 at The College of New Jersey.
Chanmee Jeong was born in Seoul, Korea. She trained at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Russia and at Vaganova Ballet Academy, Korea. She holds a BA and MA in Dance from Ewha Woman's University, South Korea. She has performed internationally with the Ewha Ballet Ensemble, where she preferred classical and contemporary repertory, including "Nutcracker", "Paquita", and "Messiah". Before joining Roxey Ballet in 2015, she toured in India, Israel, East Timor, Korea, and the US. Chanmee Jeong performed as the Sugar Plum Fairy in Roxey Ballet's 22nd Annual "Nutcracker" this past year. "After her debut performance as the Sugar Plum Fairy in 'Nutcracker', the audience fell in love with her", says Mark Roxey, artistic director of Roxey Ballet. "Her technique lends itself well to the role and promises that she will captivate audiences again as Cinderella." This is Chanmee Jeong's third season with Roxey Ballet.Videos
