L'ÉTERNEL VOYAGE
Choreographed by Sylvie Bouchard, L'éternel voyage chronicles the quest to reveal human dilemmas.

A trio of dancers explore an ethereal landscape residing in an in-between space, invoking the mystery of the unknown, new territories and undiscovered places. Calm and dazzling winds, sudden gusts, and tornadoes accompany the group on their journey. Within this uncharted frontier, we witness three characters who learn to trust the beating of their own heart, both individually and collectively.

Employing striking visuals, and performed by Mairéad Filgate, Meredith Thompson and Brendan Wyatt, L'éternel voyage is a hymn to life, a call to fully savour the moments that are precious to each of us.

L'IMPLORANTE
Misunderstood and alienated, Camille Claudel's genius was terrifying. Of sound mind and in full possession of her magnificent talent, the one whom Rodin described as 'his most extraordinary disciple', Camille was committed in 1913, at 49 years old. Depressed and unrecognizable, she finally succumbed after 30 years of continuous confinement.

Conceived by playwright Claude Guilman, L'Implorante is inspired by the correspondence between Auguste Rodin and Camille Claudel, his muse and mistress. Directed by award winning Théâtre la Tangente's Claude Guilman and Louise Naubert, the production brings together a stellar assembly of artists and performers.

L'Implorante tells the story of a choreographer who becomes fascinated by the emotional power of Claudel's sculpture, "L'Âge mûr" (Mature Age) and particularly the figure in the piece, L'Implorante (The Implorer). In her quest to grasp the gripping potency of the piece she begins an all-consuming search through Claudel and Rodin's personal letters. What emerges is a powerful and haunting parallel between choreographer and sculptress.

What inspires us? What moves us to create? L'Implorante explores these themes through a stunning and multifaceted arrangement of choreography, music, video and text with performances by Sylvie Bouchard, Bernard Meney and Louise Naubert. The production will be presented in French with in-ear translation. Please note that the text in this production is minimal.
