Acclaimed Dancer, Choreographer Brian Friedman Becomes New Patron at Urdang

On 3rd June, Urdang officially announced, internationally acclaimed dancer, choreographer and creative director, Brian Friedman, as their new patron joining existing Urdang patrons, Sean Cheesman, Arlene Philips CBE, Wayne Sleep OBE and Anthony Van Laast MBE. The announcement came following an industry lecture and Q&A session led by Friedman for Urdang students at the Old Finsbury Town Hall.

Brian Friedman has worked with an impressive string of artists and celebrities to date which includes Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Celine Dion, Janet Jackson, Prince, Mariah Carey, Usher, P!nK, Nicole Scherzinger, Christina Aguilera, One Direction, Olly Murs and many more. As a creative, his talents extend to the film industry, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle", "You Got Served", 'She's all That", "Austin Powers Gold Member to name a few. But most of us will have heard from the influential American star from his involvement judging, choreographing and producing The X Factor UK, The X Factor USA and America's Got Talent.

Urdang is delighted to have attracted a high profile professional who is such a fit for the academy. Brian is the perfect role model and will be an inspiration to Urdang students, especially for our boys and those students wanting a career in commercial dance. Brian will bring his talent, passion and support to students by giving inside information on how the industry works and insight on his experiences that has got him where he is today.
