AbunDance Academy of the Arts, an established non-profit arts organization dedicated to offering children and adults affordable dance, theater, and musical instruction at all levels presents a new work, "Annie, AbunDantly!", a theatrical dance performance featuring students and seasoned Broadway performance artists who all represent Brooklyn.

With influences from the original 1982 classic movie "Annie", "Annie, AbunDantly!" introduces the audience to not only that charming and sweet little orphan we all loved to watch but also to Anne-Marie Mudge, the grown up version of Annie, who just so happens to become the first female, African-American president of the United States of America.

An inspiring story for all ages, expressed primarily through dance and theater, "Annie, AbunDantly!" brings Broadway to Brooklyn for all ages. Featuring a wide range of musical genres from classic movie soundtracks, Tchaikovsky, the famed Salsa queen Celia Cruz, live African style drumming and more, the production moves seamlessly through the life of little Annie as she grows up to become president. With 120 performers ranging from 3 to 80 years old and a cast of Broadway alumni including Karisma Jay, the founder of AbunDance Academy of the Arts, this show demonstrates what can happen when a little girl dreams big.

"I created this story to inspire and encourage girls and women of all backgrounds and to show them that with hard work, motivation and humor, you can rise up to be anything that you desire, even the president. This story is especially relevant as we have come to welcome the first woman ever to win major political party representation in a presidential election. I hope that those who see this show will take Annie's drive and apply it to their own lives." said Karisma Jay, Founder and Artistic Director of the AbunDance Academy of the Arts.

This event helps to raise funds to support the AbunDance Academy of the Arts ongoing commitment to offering top notch instruction to people of all income levels so that they can experience the arts first-hand. From full scholarships to low sliding scale fees, the organization makes the arts accessible through its top notch, hand-on instruction and partnerships with community organizations that provide after school programs centered on the arts and youth mentorship.
