Russell Peters & Faizon Love to Star In Brad Epstein-Helmed Comedy RIPPED

Straight off of NBC's Hit show, Last Comic Standing and the critically acclaimed movie, Chef, and in the midst of his record breaking Almost Famous World Tour, Canada's number one stand-up export, RUSSELL PETERS has teamed up with fellow stand-up comedian and accomplished actor Faizon Love in a stoner buddy comedy RIPPED directed by Brad Epstein.

Faizon Love, known for his roles in Couple's Retreat, Kevin James' Zookeeper and Will Ferrell's Elf brings an impressive resume and his comedic prowess to the project. Joining them in Pelican Point Media's production is the beautiful Alex Meneses featured in the up-coming NBC show Hot & Bothered executive produced by and starring Eva Longoria. THE COMEDY is being directed by Brad Epstein based on an original screenplay written by Brad Epstein and Billiam Colonel.

Epstein produced Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Dan in Real Life and About A Boy. During his tenure as President of Production at Robert De Niro's, Tribeca Productions, he oversaw the productions of several films from Wag THE DOG to Meet The Parents to name a few.

Pelican Point Media has worldwide rights to finance, produce and distribute, and the film will be produced by Ike Suri, Brad Epstein and Javier Chapa.

WME-represented Peters is taking a break from his world tour to shoot this film that is poised to be a breakout role for him. Ike Suri, Co-founder and Co-CEO of Pelican Point Media recently co-financed and Exec Produced Cabin Fever: Reboot with Eli Roth and Cassian Elwes, Daughter Of God with Keanu Reeves and Cassian Elwes in addition to Exec Producing the upcoming film The Brits Are Coming starring Uma Thurman.
