Michael Colby is the author of a quintessential New York memoir, "The Algonquin Kid - Adventures Growing Up In New York's Legendary Hotel." The treasured stories of his childhood as a real-life counterpart to Eloise of the Plaza were originally published in a popular thirty-part series called "The Algonquin Kid" on TheaterPizzazz.com. Among other stories, Colby recounts writing and rehearsing many of his musicals at The Algonquin in a studio his grandparents (the owners, Ben and Mary Bodne) provided. These include Charlotte Sweet (composer: Gerald Jay Markoe), nominated for three Drama Desk Awards in 1982, and Tales of Tinseltown, a sardonic 1930s Movieland Musical he wrote with composer Paul Katz. "The Algonquin Kid" was published in 2015 by BearManor Media.

Child Find of America's vision is a world in which every child thrives in a safe, healthy and legal environment. "We provide outstanding professional services designed to prevent and resolve child abduction and the family conflicts that can lead to abduction and abuse," explains Executive Director Donna Linder. "We bring missing kids home and keep them safe through programs that promote healthier family environments and strengthen parents - the key to child well-being."
