Judd Apatow slams Bill Cosby on Twitter, saying:

"Guys Who Rape a Lot Aren't Cool" and "It is not extortion when most of the accusers do not want anything. There are much older woman who suffered for decades.

"I always wonder why some people try so hard to not believe women who have been assaulted," he continued. "What is the root of that?"

Cosby has been charged with sexual harrassment and assualt of several women, including supermodel Beverly Johnson, claiming the 77-year-old actor drugged, sexually assaulted, and/or raped them, all of which his lawyer, Marty Singer, has denied.

Judd Apatow is an American film producer, director, comedian, actor, and screenwriter. He is best known for his work in comedy films, and is the founder of Apatow Productions and also developed the cult television series Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared and Girls. Apatow's work has won numerous awards including aPrimetime Emmy Award (for The Ben Stiller Show), a Hollywood Comedy Award, and an AFI Award for Bridesmaids. His work has also been nominated for Grammy Awards, PGA Awards, Golden Globe Awards and Academy Awards (forBridesmaids). In October 2012, Vanity Fair announced that Apatow would be guest-editing their comedy Issue, the first person to ever do so. Apatow will also reportedly guest-write an episode of The Simpsons that is due sometime in 2014. In 2007, he was ranked No. 1 on Entertainment Weekly's The 50 Smartest People in Hollywood. He is considered a pioneer of the modern film genre, bromantic comedy.
