Jen Kirkman and Greg Behrendt to Headline at Empire Comedy Live, 6/7-8 & 15

Empire Comedy Live kicks summer off with two hilarious headliners, Jen Kirkman and Greg Behrendt on back-to-back weekends at Comedy Bar in June, while the 2013 Toronto Comedy Brawl keeps rolling towards the $1000 grand prize.

Previously announced was comedian and author Jen Kirkman on Saturday, June 8 at Comedy Bar, and by popular demand an additional performance has been added on Friday, June 7. Jen Kirkman brings her stand-up tour to Toronto to celebrate the release of her new book I Can Barely Take Care of Myself - Tales From A Happy Life Without Kids (April 16th by Simon & Schuster). Jen Kirkman is a regular round table guest on Chelsea Lately on E!, and is well known for her role as the narrator in the cult-hit web series Drunk History.

Greg Behrendt returns to Toronto on Saturday, June 15 at Comedy Bar, co-presented by NXNE Comedy. Comedy powerhouse and New York Times bestselling author Greg Behrendt has headlined four Just For Laughs galas, made four appearances on The Tonight Show, as well as performed on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show for Comedy Central. Greg Behrendt has also recorded three solo stand-up specials for Comedy Central.

The 5th Annual Toronto Comedy Brawl continues at Crown and Tiger with 300 amateur stand-up comedians competing for the top prize of $1,000. Each night, eight comics will perform and the top four selected by written audience vote will move on to the next round.
