TMZ is reporting that TONIGHT SHOW host Jimmy Fallon was hospitalized last night, possibly for injuries to his hand.

The SNL alum was last seen enjoying dinner at Scalinatella restaurant on New York's Upper East side last night and even posed for photos with a nearby table of fans.

According to the site, following the meal, Fallon was checked into a New York City hospital. According to a source, he received treatment in the ICU. No further details have been revealed, however the show's Twitter page posted news that tonight's taping has been cancelled: Hey guys - unfortunately tonight's taping has been cancelled due to Jimmy injuring his hand. He's totally fine but we'll be airing a repeat. Ticketholders for the taping will be able to reschedule for future shows.

The New York Times has shared the following statement from Fallon's publicity representative: "Jimmy Fallon was required to have minor surgery after injuring his hand at his Manhattan apartment this morning. He is expected to make a full recovery."
