The stakes are rising as the Dorks continue their unique blend of comedy and gaming this month at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre. The regular cast will be joined by the lovely Jacqueline Martell and her mighty improvisational skills. Jacqueline is a veteran of the improvised comedy group Stranger Than Fiction, winner of a Best of New Hampshire Award.

The show follows the story of a fantastical delivery service, The Special Parcel Service, as they struggle to make their heroic deliveries in the face of grave danger and their own incompetence. Their success or failure is determined by the roll of a 20-sided die, reminiscent of role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. The show combines costumes, dice, improvisers, and a Game Master into a hilarious blend.

"Jackie is an excellent performer," says Kelly. "We think she's going to do some hilarious work out there."

The Dorks have recently returned from a string of perfomances in Halifax, Nova Scotia for two shows at HalCon, the largest sci-fi and fantasy convention on Canada's Eastern Seaboard. They have written a book about the game they designed and play onstage, The Dorks in Dungeons Campaign Gide and Roleplaying Game. This third season is sponsored by Pickwicks Mercantile.

Tickets for Dorks in Dungeons are $14 online for VIP tickets or pay-what-you-can at the door for general admission. VIP ticketholders will enjoy free pizza, collectible art and items from the cast, exclusive giveaways, and more. First time audience members can pick up a complementary "Noob" ticket at Pickwicks Mercantile or Diversions Puzzles and Games in Downtown Portsmouth, or at Jetpack Comics in Rochester.
