ALADDIN's James Monroe Iglehart to Return as Co-Host of ABC's THE VIEW Tomorrow

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, ALADDIN star and Tony Award winner James Iglehart is set to return to ABC's THE VIEW to serve as co-host tomorrow, March 20th.

Iglehart won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for Aladdin. The award marked the actor's first Tony nomination.

Iglehart originated the role of Bobby in the Tony® Award-winning musical Memphis. He was featured on stage and screen in such shows as The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Broadway), The Wiz (Off-Broadway), "The Good Wife" and "The Electric Company" (Silent E Soloist). He is also a member of the hip hop improv group Freestyle Love Supreme.

About The Show

"The View," is a live, one-hour daily talk show from ABC (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) featuring moderator Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace. It is the original forum in which real women discuss everyday issues, share their opinions and engage in colorful conversations. "The View," broadcast in HDTV and produced in 2-channel stereo sound, is now available to watch online daily at 4:00 p.m., ET/1:00 p.m., PT on ABC.com. "The View" is owned and produced by ABC. Bill Wolff is executive producer. Brian Balthazar is co-executive producer. "The View" is directed by Ashley S. Gorman.

"The View," recipient of the 2003 Daytime Emmy® Award for "Outstanding Talk Show," is ABC Daytime's morning chatfest, featuring a team of dynamic women of different ages, experiences and backgrounds discussing the most exciting events of the day. The program has received critical acclaim since premiering August 11, 1997. It's broadcast live weekdays from New York City (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET; CLOSED-CAPTIONED; broadcast in stereo; TV-14).

"The View" is the recipient of 29 Daytime Emmy® Awards, numerous Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including 11 consecutive nominations for Outstanding Talk Show and 13 consecutive nominations for Outstanding Talk Show Host.
