Nashville Symphony to Welcome Itzhak Perlman, Pay Tribute to Led Zeppelin in 2014

Nashville Symphony announces two new concerts for 2014. Classic rock fans won't want to miss the orchestra's tribute to Led Zeppelin on January 30, and classical music fans won't want to miss the return of Itzhak Perlman on March 18. Bridging the gulf between rock 'n' roll and classical music, the Nashville Symphony will blow you away with The Music of Led Zeppelin. Amplified by a full rock band, creator Brent Havens will guest-conduct the orchestra as they capture Led Zeppelin's sheer blast and power, riff for riff, while churning out new musical colors. The two-plus-hour concert features 18 classic Zeppelin tunes, including "Stairway to Heaven," "Heartbreaker," "Black Dog," "Immigrant Song" and more.

The reigning virtuoso of the violin joins the Nashville Symphony for one night only at Schermerhorn Symphony Center! One of the most accomplished musicians working today, Perlman remains a magnetic performer, beloved not just for his remarkable artistry, but for his irrepressible joy in making music. When he takes the stage with Nashville's GRAMMY-winning orchestra, he'll perform Beethoven's breathtaking Violin Concerto.
