Arild Remmereit Resigns from Rochester Chamber Orchestra; Dr. David Fetler Replaces
The Rochester Chamber Orchestra (RCO) has announced a change in its Fall schedule.
The concert set for Sunday, October 27 will now be conducted by Dr. David Fetler, Music Director and Founder of the Rochester Chamber Orchestra. Dr. Fetler replaces renowned Norwegian conductor Arild Remmereit who had to cancel due to a change in his schedule.
"We are grateful to Arild for the beautiful and creative concerts he has conducted for us and the bright light he has shone on the Rochester Chamber Orchestra now in its 50th year," said Tom Paul, RCO Board President.
"I wish Dr. Fetler and the Rochester Chamber Orchestra great success and all the best as they celebrate their 50th anniversary," said Remmereit.
"Composers of African Descent - Part 1: The French Connection" is the lively theme of the concert set for Sunday, October 27 at 3 p.m. at Hochstein Performance Hall in Rochester.
The concert will feature a symphony by composer Joseph Boulogne Chevalier de Saint Georges, a contemporary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as well as works by Lucile Gretry, Franz Joseph Haydn and Mozart.

For 50 years, the Rochester Chamber Orchestra has been providing valuable cultural and educational services to the Rochester community, offering a richly-varied repertoire of orchestral music from the 17th Century to the present for the enjoyment of RCO concert-goers of all ages.
