Iconic LEAVE IT TO BEAVER Star Ken Osmond Releases Official Biography

Ken Osmond, best known for playing Eddie Haskell on the long-running family comedy "Leave it to Beaver" has released his official biography, EDDIE: The Life and Times of America's Preeminent Bad Boy, including a foreword by Jerry Mathers.

Eddie Haskell was the bad kid who never went away. When child actor Ken Osmond stepped onto the set of "Leave it to Beaver" in 1957, he not only entered our living rooms, he homesteaded a permanent place in the American pop culture, a place that is still occupied by his character over a half a century later.

EDDIE: The Life and Times of America's Preeminent Bad Boy: covers many aspects of Ken's life; his early years as the child of a driven stage mom, his dancing and modeling career, the numerous movie and television roles he had, the Beaver years and the typecasting that followed. The book also looks into many unknown aspects of his life: His brief stint as a helicopter pilot that nearly took his life, his career with the LAPD, and the wild rumors that swirled around Eddie Haskell (John Holmes, Alice Cooper). We read in intimate detail about the investigation by LAPD internal affairs regarding the Holmes rumor (he had to drop his pants in Parker Center to clear his name), and about the PTSD Ken Osmond suffered as a result of being shot twice in the line of duty.
