Shea's Free Family Film Series provides free family-oriented movies to the general public. The annual film series continues on Sunday, February 7 at 2 P.M. (doors open at 1 P.M.) with the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Rated PG).

Free movie tickets are available approximately one week prior to the screening at Wegmans' Customer Service Desks (Erie/Niagara county locations), and at Shea's Box Office (650 Main Street, open M-F 10 A.M.-5 P.M.; Sat. 10 A.M. -2 P.M.).

Tickets do not guarantee seating. Seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive early. Doors open at 1 p.m.

Spawned from a lab experiment gone awry, teenage terrapins Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael live in the sewers beneath New York. Although their rodent sensei, Splinter, advises against showing themselves above ground, the justice-loving, pizza-eating brothers can't stand idly by while evil Shredder and his minions terrorize the city.

Originally built as a movie house when it opened in 1926, Shea's offers the Free Family Film Series "to provide patrons with the opportunity to experience Shea's as it was during its theatre's early days," said Lisa Grisanti, director of marketing and public relations at Shea's. The movie viewing screen is one of the largest in New York State. The theatre seats 3,019.

The final film scheduled for this season is:

Apr. 17 The Sound of Music (Rated G)

Prior to each movie, House Organist Bruce Woody plays the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ inside the theatre.

The Free Family Film Series was founded by Goldhaber Research Associates and is sponsored by Wegmans, The Buffalo News, Pepsi, and Star 102.5 Radio.
