SPEED OF LIGHT A World-Premiere Play by Bella Poynton
Directed by Scott Behrend
September 11th - October 4th, 2015

On a far off planet, physicist Mayra Ecazin races furiously against time to unlock the secret of light speed travel and save humanity from decimation by alien invaders. Battling greedy investors, competing agendas, and her own mortality, how much is Mayra willing to sacrifice to make her machine? And will it be enough? Find out in this RLTP World-Premiere that takes a fantastical look at the infinite possibilities of the human mind and the finite potential of a flawed civilization.

APPROPRIATE A WNY-Premiere Play by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins
Directed by Scott Behrend
October 30th - November 22nd, 2015

Coming home to Arkansas to divvy up their deceased father's derelict plantation, the estranged Lafayette family unearth more than estate sale trinkets when they start digging through decades' worth of buried memories. A shocking discovery ignites a firestorm of blame, regret, and nasty accusations. To exorcise their familial demons, the contentious siblings must confront the reality of their shared past as well as their own personal prejudices.

THE SANTALAND DIARIES by David Sedaris & Joe Mantello
Directed by Doug Weyand
December 4th - 20th, 2015

Infamous from its annual rotation on National Public Radio's "This American Life", join RLTP for its annual Yuletide tradition. Follow one man's epic journey from an aimless existence as a snarky New York layabout to a promising and only semi-humiliating seasonal career as a Macy's department store elf.

FREUD'S LAST SESSION A WNY-Premiere Play by Mark St. Germain
Directed by David Oliver
January 22nd - February 14th, 2016

What if legendary psychoanalyst Dr. Freud and beloved writer C.S. Lewis met one evening for a chat? Intellectual sparks fly in this imaginative musing of just such an occasion, when the aging atheist and the devout scholar convene in London on the day England enters World War II. Witty and riveting, their provocative debate calls into question everything from war to religion, from sex to God, from punctuality to the power of music.

SAFE A World-Premiere Play by RLTP Ensemble Member Donna Hoke
Directed by Kyle LoConti
March 11th - April 3rd, 2016

1986: Teen Nancy lives under the thumb of a widower father paralyzed by grief and fear. Her new friend Brett -friendly, funny, charming, and unafraid-offers Nancy the chance to expand her comfort zone beyond the safety of her father's tiny world. But Nancy hesitates, tragedy strikes, and psychic shockwaves ripple across decades.

2011: Nancy lives with her husband Kirk, a man every bit as afraid as her father was yet far more reactionary. As she stands watches Kirk program their teenage son with anger and intolerance, Nancy begins to examine the forces that have made her a prisoner in her own life and strives to undo this vicious cycle of fear and abuse. Artie Award winner and RLTP Ensemble Member Donna Hoke's new play is a gripping study of community, culpability, and courage.

FARRAGUT NORTH A WNY-Premiere Play by Beau Willimon
Directed by Scott Behrend
2012 Pulitzer Prize Winner - A WNY Premiere
April 29th - May 22nd, 2016

From the writer of the smash-hit House Of Cards: It's election season, and press secretary Stephen Bellamy finds his idyllic career as the silver-tongued spin master for a presidential hopeful jeopardized by one tempting, late night phone call. Beneath the idealistic sheen of a primary race, doubletalk, dirty tricks, and machinations betray the ruthless reality of a political campaign. Friends and enemies begin to look alike when ambition trumps loyalty in the cutthroat game of professional politics.
