My Fair Lady, directed by Julie Andrews, is currently playing in Brisbane before it travels to Melbourne and Sydney and it is doing so with Cure Brain Cancer Foundation as the production's official charity partner. The show is currently playing at Brisbane's Lyric Theatre, QPAC until April 30, Melbourne's Regent Theatre from 12 May and Sydney's Capitol Theatre from August 24, 2017.

Opera Australia and John Frost are joint Producers for this prestigious tour. John Frost has a close personal connection with Cure Brain Cancer Foundation dating back many years. He was close friends with the Foundation's tireless ambassador Marcella Zemanek and her late husband Stan, who passed away from brain cancer almost ten years ago. That friendship has continued in the decade since his passing.

The partnership will see Cure Brain Cancer Foundation benefit from a number of initiatives that will raise much needed funding and awareness for brain cancer. Any funds raised will go towards research that will improve outcomes for people living with the disease.

My Fair Lady Producers Opera Australia and John Frost said, "Cure Brain Cancer Foundation is an organisation close to our hearts, and it gives us great pleasure that our production will be helping to make a difference to people impacted by brain cancer. The show received exceptional reviews last year, and now people in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney can not only enjoy a fantastic performance but they can support an incredible cause too."

Cure Brain Cancer Foundation CEO, Sean Leong, said, "I would like to extend a huge thank you to the producers of My Fair Lady for choosing Cure Brain Cancer Foundation as the charity partner for this amazing run of performances. Brain cancer is a cruel and indiscriminate disease, and the more opportunities we have to raise funds and awareness at events such as these, the quicker we will be able to meet our mission of improving brain cancer survival. We are truly grateful for the opportunity."

My Fair Lady is a Cinderella story about the Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle and the appealingly arrogant phoneticist, Professor Higgins. Their clash of cultures sparks some of theatre's most jubilant songs and witty dialogue.

Lerner and Loewe's original screenplay first played to adoring audiences in 1956, and last year, the show made a triumphant return to Australian theatres under the masterful direction of Julie Andrews, earning rave reviews during a run at the Sydney Opera House.

Julie Andrews continues her role as Director for the 2017 encore season, with Tony Award-winning Christopher Gattelli and associates of the musical's original designers Cecil Beaton and Oliver Smith adding to the impressive production.
