Weston Friendly Society Announces Auditions for STATE FAIR

The Weston Friendly Society of the Performing Arts will be holding auditions for their Spring 2015 production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's STATE FAIR on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 20th and 21st starting at 7pm at the Weston Town Hall (11 Town House Road, Weston).

The Show will perform at the Town Hall Saturday, March 21 and 28th at 2:00pm and 7:30pm and Sunday, March 22 at 2:00pm The rehearsal schedule is posted on the website (www.westonfriendly.org). Please be prepared to make note of any conflicts you may have with the schedule on the form you will be asked to fill out at auditions. Conflicts will not be accepted past the first rehearsal.

"Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song that is in a similar style to the show (Other Rodgers and Hammerstein, Rodgers and Hartt, Berlin, Gershwin, Kern, Etc.) An accompanist will provided. You may be asked to stay and Dance (be able to move, bring taps if you have them)."

A seperate audition for the kids ensemble (ages 8-12) will be held on Monday, January 19th at 7:00. Kids should prepare 16-32 bars of a song in a similar style to the show and all should be willing to dance immediately following the singing auditions (please bring tap shoes if you have them, but don't worry if not.)

Callbacks will be January 22 at 7pm at the Town Hall. Those attending Tuesday night's audition will be called during the day Wednesday if we would like them to attend the callback. Auditioners Wednesday night will be asked at the end of the night to return the next day.
