Titanic Theatre Company presents Tony Award winner Christopher Durang's provocative and witty satire Why Torture is Wrong and the People Who Love Them directed by Elliot Norton Award winner, Adam Zahler, at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown.

Why Torture is Wrong tells the story of a young woman who wonders if her new husband, whom she married when drunk, is a terrorist and if her father's butterfly collecting is really a cover for his involvement in a shadow government. The antics feature a prim woman with an underwear issue, a looney tunes spouting "freedom fighter" and a minister who moonlights directing porn. Mr. Durang combines a look at our political struggles with unexpected heart and conscience in a play the Associated Press called "a hilarious topsy-turvy look at a world that is definitely off-kilter."

The performance schedule continues as follows:

Aug. 3 3:00 and 8:00
Aug. 4 3:00

Aug. 7 7:30
Aug. 8 7:30
Aug. 9 8:00
Aug. 10 3:00 and 8:00
